FAQ

What are the dimensions of the Noteboard?

Folded, the Noteboard is 5 x 3 x 1 inches, or approximately 12.7 x 7.6 x 2.5 cm if you prefer metric measurements. Unfolded, it is 35 x 15 inches (88.9 by 38.1cm). The pen provided is just shy of 5 inches and so fits conveniently in the pouch provided (as does the Noteboard of course).

Where do Noteboards come from?

The Noteboard is the brainchild of Robin Thomas who came up with the idea for the Noteboard when contemplating hitch-hiking from California to Ohio. Robin is based in the USA, and you can read more about his story here . The folding whiteboard itself is manufactured in Texas, whereas the accompanying pen and pouch are imported to the USA from China. We currently import the complete product over to the UK.

How do I clean My Noteboard?

You can use the eraser at the end of the pen provided, or the microfibre pouch to wipe your Noteboard clean. If the ink has been left of the Noteboard for a while, it may need a little bit of extra help. You can use products such as hand santiser or surgical spirit. As an alternative, chemical free option, try drawing over the stubborn marks with the whiteboard pen, then use the eraser/pouch to rub it off. Magic erasers are apparently a bit of a no-no as they cause the laminate to scrunch up.

What do I do if my pen runs out? Can I use other pens?

Obviously the lifespan of the pen we provide is dependent on how often you use it, and whether the lid is placed on it properly when it’s not in use. You can of course buy replacement or supplementary whiteboard pens from all sorts of places including large supermarkets, stationary shops or online. From experience, the “wipability” of different colours and brands varies quite a lot. Some wipe off too easily, whereas others require a bit more scrubbing to remove, so just be aware that a bit of trial and error might be needed before you find the right pen for you. Alternatively, if you loved the pen we provided you with so much that you’d like another, drop us a line either using our Contact page, or email either of us at shell@thisisawesome.co.uk or andy@thisisawesome.co.uk and we’ll see what we can do.

Can I stick my Noteboard up on the wall?

Due to the flexible features of the Noteboard (foldable and double-sided) it is not self-adhesive. Should you wish to mount your Noteboard on your wall however, it's really easy to do so using blu-tack, sellotape or other similar products without causing any damage to your Noteboard. As the Noteboard is made up of rows and columns of laminated cards, it will easily stay flat against the wall once stuck on. For example, we currently have one stuck onto our office wall using push pins!

What if I'm not happy with my purchase?

We try our best to check the quality of each Noteboard when packaging it up, but a few rouge ones may slip past our watchful eyes from time to time. If this happens, just go to our Contact page and drop us a message using the “Returns/Refunds” option in the dropdown menu. There’s an option to attach a photo, so if you could upload a photo of the fault, we can send you another Noteboard in the post almost immediately, or give you a refund if that’s what you prefer. If there’s no fault, but you’re generally just unhappy with the product, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order through our Contact page.  If the problem is solvable, we will do our best to solve it. However, if you no longer want to hang onto your Noteboard, we will refund you your payment (minus the cost of posting your order to you) provided you return your purchase to us unused and undamaged. Unfortunately, the cost of returning your purchase to us is your responsibility.
